The story revolves around a conversation between Hazrat Umar, the second Caliph of Muslims, and a person sent by the King of Rum to inquire about some hidden secrets present in the earth and sky. The person asks Hazrat Umar seven questions, which he is unable to answer. The person then asks to meet the successor of the Prophet, and is directed to Hazrat Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib.
Hazrat Imam Ali answers the seven questions:
1. A place on earth where sunlight fell only once is the part of the sea where Hazrat Musa (Moses) struck his staff, dividing the sea into two.
2. A tree born without water is the tree that Allah grew for Hazrat Yunus (Jonah) when he was in the stomach of a fish.
3. A thing with no hands, feet, or body but only a mouth is the fire of hell.
4. A thing that keeps moving on earth all the time is water.
5. A tree whose shadow never ends, even if a person walks under it at the speed of a horse for 16 years, is the tree of heaven, which is decorated with tuba (repentance).
6. People will eat and drink in heaven but will not urinate or make excuses, just like a child in its mother's womb eats and drinks but does not urinate.
7. The doors of heaven have locks that can only be opened by testifying with a true heart that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
The person is convinced by Hazrat Imam Ali's answers and returns to the King of Rum to inform him that the Prophet of Muslims is indeed the last Prophet mentioned in their religious books.
