My Bestie’s Boyfriend Fell In Love With Me - Summary

Summary

The story revolves around Tina, a young girl from New Jersey who is raised by her over-ambitious mother who owns a cosmetic company. Due to her mom's frequent overseas trips, Tina spends her childhood mostly alone, often interacting with her toys. As she grows up, she discovers her passion for acting and dreams of pursuing it, despite her mother's disapproval.

Tina's acting skills come to the fore when she pretends to be her imaginary boyfriend's girlfriend, which leads to a series of humorous misunderstandings and confrontations. Her friend Daisy, who is in love with Zack, the boyfriend, falls for Tina's act and even goes as far as to dump Zack for her.

Zack, who transfers to the same school as Tina, develops a crush on her. He helps her in a few awkward situations, and Tina reciprocates his feelings. However, their relationship takes a turn when Tina's mother tries to manipulate Tina to date Zack for business reasons. Zack, who is aware of this, breaks up with Tina.

Tina, heartbroken, decides to pursue her dream of becoming an actress and moves to New York. Meanwhile, her mother's health deteriorates, and she learns that her mother's business is in shambles. Zack, who was one of the few buyers of her mother's products, offers to help her save the business.

Tina's mother, realizing her mistake in not valuing Tina's passion and dreams, decides to sell the business to Zack's company. Tina, who had moved away to start her acting career, returns home to find her mother on her deathbed. She forgives her mother and decides to stay with her.

After her mother's death, Tina and Zack reconcile and decide to start over. The story ends with them laughing together after Zack pulls a scrunchie from Tina's hair, signifying the beginning of their new journey together.
