The story revolves around a shepherd who, after noticing his cows suffering due to a lack of grass, crosses a river to find fresh grass. He then recounts a Mahfil (religious gathering) where he heard about the blessings of Bismillah (God's name). Inspired by this, he starts crossing the river daily with his cows, saying Bismillah, and the cows become healthier.
The villagers, however, do not believe him and leave. Only one shepherd remains, who also wants to cross the river with his cows. The next day, the shepherd takes his cows across the river, but the previous shepherd is afraid of the river's current and tries to cross alone, leading to a tragic accident.
The shepherd then tells the man that his problem is his reliance on the rope more than Allah, and that he should trust in Allah more. The man agrees and promises to put more trust in Allah. The story concludes with the shepherd advising the man to go on a spiritual journey to purify his Ekin (faith).
