love enhancing the natural beauty but just smoothing out any imperfections and making the skin look flawless. I also like to brighten the eyes a bit and enhance the overall contrast of the image. Once that's done, I move on to color grading, adjusting tones to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing look.
For this particular photo, I might enhance the blues in the eye makeup and make sure the stars and details pop. Finally, I'll add a touch of vignette and sharpen the image a bit for that final polished look.
That's a quick rundown of my editing process, and I'm ready to share the finished product on Instagram. What do you think of the behind-the-scenes journey?
1. The video was recorded on a Saturday, specifically July 17th, around 2:30 PM Pacific Standard Time.
2. The host, James Charles, woke up early that day and was inspired to create a makeup look for Instagram.
3. He was particularly inspired by a look from an episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, specifically a star dress worn by Aquaria, the winner of Drag Race season 10.
4. His first step in the creative process was to pick a source of inspiration. In this case, it was the star dress worn by Aquaria.
5. He then proceeded to gather all the materials he needed for the makeup look. These included silver glitter, glossy crystals, and star charms.
6. He had to make a trip to a craft store to find the star charms, as he didn't have them at home.
7. After gathering the materials, he started the makeup process, which included applying the base makeup and then the blue and midnight navy blue eyeshadow.
8. He then attempted to attach the star charms to his eyelids using a professional grade makeup glue.
9. After the makeup look was complete, he proceeded to take the photos.
10. He then proceeded to edit the photos, which included reshaping his face, desaturating the background, skin retouching, and editing the color of his shirt.
11. The entire process took more than seven and a half hours.
12. The photos from the day were officially posted on his Instagram account.
