SCP-001 - The Children - Ouroboros Cycle (SCP Animation) - Summary

Summary

The SCP Foundation is at war with the reality-bending Kingdom of Abaddon in the Sahara. After a disastrous mission, the Foundation tasks research team Omega-5, led by Dr. O5-1, to develop a long-range destruction weapon. They discover an anomaly, Item-001, which can channel immense energy from an unknown origin. However, the anomaly causes its hosts to become intensely radioactive, and numerous tests end in tragedy. Eventually, O5-1 finds success by using nine children as hosts, who become functionally brain-dead but can control the anomaly's power. The children are used to destroy the Kingdom of Abaddon and a Church of the Broken God worship site. However, O5-1's obsession with the project raises concerns, and he is eventually promoted and reassigned. Before leaving, O5-1 uses the children to kill Administrator Williams, and he goes on the run, taking some Foundation members with him. The children are contained, but still display signs of life, and are classified as a Thaumiel entity.

Facts

1. The SCP Foundation is waging war against a newly discovered enemy in the Sahara.
2. The enemy is a reality-bending entity from the Kingdom of Abaddon.
3. The SCP agents were attempting to eliminate the threat using conventional means, but their rifles were no match for the entities.
4. Out of hundreds of agents sent into the Sahara, only a handful made it out alive.
5. The anomalous humanoids were classified under the highest of threat levels by the Foundation.
6. The Foundation had previously lost 75 personnel and had 12 items stolen by the Abaddon humanoids.
7. Research team Omega-5 was tasked with developing a weapon to destroy the Kingdom of Abaddon.
8. The project was given the name "Twins of God" and was led by Dr. O5-1.
9. O5-1 discovered an anomaly, Item-001, which he believed held the solution to defeating the Kingdom of Abaddon.
10. The anomaly caused its hosts to become intensely radioactive, leading to radiation sickness and death.
11. To stop the radiation problems, the Omega-5 research group intensified containment procedures.
12. The Kingdom of Abaddon attacked another Foundation facility in Sudan during the research.
13. The administrator put pressure on Omega-5 to solve the problems of Item-001 and develop a weapon.
14. O5-1 worked tirelessly to create a safe and controllable Item-001 entity.

16. Nine children, aged 4-11, were used as test subjects for Item-001.
17. The children were contained in a reinforced bunker and were functionally brain-dead.
18. The children shared a hive mind and could process information and unleash the full potential of the anomaly.
19. The children could channel energy from an unknown origin, hypothesized to be an extradimensional source.
20. The energy could unbind atoms at the quantum level, allowing the children to annihilate objects.
21. O5-1 ordered the children to destroy a Church of the Broken God worship site in Turkey.
22. The worship site was obliterated with no observable damage to the surrounding area.
23. Administrator Williams had concerns about O5-1's methods and planned to reassign him after the mission.
